I am a wife and homeschooling mom who leads a pretty normal (some might say boring) life.  With three kids, a husband, a cat and five chickens to care for, it’s rarely actually boring.  It is filled with days that include school, sports practices, drama classes, cleaning, cooking, DIY-ing, church, and countless other family activities.   I love good coffee, good books, time alone with my husband, time together with my kids, the smell of clothes right out of the dryer, spring rain, and yes, long walks on the beach.  I desire to live each day Coram Deo – before the face of God.  I find the sacred in the simple and joy in a project done with my own hands. Not a glamorous life, but a life I love.

  1. I think this is a great idea. We need to do one for our side of the family and maybe we could hear more from our Nashville side of the family. tj

  2. Love the website! That is great so all the family can keep up! We miss you all us not being at school. Can’t believe how big the boys are and Betsy too. Unbelieveable how fast time flies!!
You are a great family :).

  3. Hi there! So glad to hear that you are going to join CHE in the fall. I just erased the sentence “you are going to love homeschooling!” Actually, most days you will, and then there are the days that you will be looking out the window to find a schoolbus. Those days are rare, and God is so good to remind you very gently that its not about you. It is just the very best thing you can do for your kids, and you will love it. They will, too.

If we can help you at all just yell.
    Cindy Craig

  4. Stacy.. God keeps giving us reasons to praise Him, even when He allows things to scare us almost to death. Keep looking for miracles, sometimes they are small. Our family will continue to lift your family up in prayer for the duration, especially tonight that Robbie will be restful and that today’s surgery is successful, as well as rest and peace for you and the kids. Praying your family verse for you tonight..Numbers 6:24-26.

  5. Hello-

I went through Novartis training with Robbie last year. I was stunned when Ken called me with the news about Robbie’s accident. God has really blessed you with a great man; but then you already know this. There are many Christians praying for you all in Georgia. These are not normal praying people, I mean real Rambo-style prayer warrior types. Please let us know what we can do for your comfort. Keith and April Howell.

  6. Stacey,
We have prayed today for God’s hand to be on Robbie’s back wound, that He will heal it quickly and keep it infection free, all as only the Great Physician can. We know you will give God glory in all of this and your testimony will touch someone who needs to hear it. Your family is being lifted up without ceasing. Our families are all in Memphis so if you need anything just say the word and they can be there in a flash.
Storming the gates of heaven for you,
    Rob and Stephanie

  7. Stacey,
We are praying for Robbie and your whole family. God is faithful and He will take care of you and your precious family. We enjoyed the kids coming over yesterday for a swim. If we can do anything at all…please don’t hesitate to call. We love you all and are standing with you for Robbie’s complete healing and restoration!

    Love,
    Tammy Fivecoat

  8. Stacey & Rob,
Ronnie and I are praying for you and kids. We praise God that
Robbie is doing better and will heal with each hour and day that passes.
Please tell Stephen that I have been thinking of him also and
to keep drawing and recording his feelings. I look forward to
seeing him when all is well.
Please know that if we can do anything to help let us know.
I told Judy King that I would be glad to take food to your mom’s home.
God has been protecting Robbie through all of this and when he gets on the other side and looks back he will see. It was not his time because he is needed here for his family.
    Love you all,
    Mary Chambers

  9. I love your blog! I hope I can get a chance to write from a perspective similar to yours one day. Check mine out when you get a chance. Much love and blessings!

  10. We’re sure that you know you have many, many people praying for your family and for Rob’s recovery. Add to that the Karate class ,, we will certainly be praying both as the class and as individuals. It’s hard not to notice when someone as encouraging and uplifting as Rob is missing even in a large group of people. Please let him know we will be thinking of him and will pray for such a fast and complete recovery that it will be evident to all that God is at work.
Please let us know if there is anything that needs doing.

Solan, Leslie, and Austin Lott,,,, and the class!

  11. Dear Stacy and family,
You do not know me, but I am an “old” friend of your Mom’s. A former classmate and she was one of my dearest and best friends. Ever since she sent us the email about Robbie, you and your family have been in my prayers. My brother works in the ER at the Med and he remembered your husband coming through. He was going to try to get a chance to come by and speak to you all and have prayer, but as I’m sure you can tell, anyone who works there doesn’t get much time to speak to anyone. Anyway, I know you and your family put your full trust and faith in the Lord. It is exactly what I would expect knowing your Mom. She is one of the greatest people I have ever known and I can tell that she has continued to live her life for the Lord and he has blessed her and will continue to bless her family.

As one who has known you through our own children from your high school days it is such joy to see how you lift up and praise God in all you do. I want you to know that your not on stage and that as with all of us there are times that we feel down, mad, sad, glad and anyother way one can think of and that God also understands and we are with you at whatever emotion you are feeling.

Scott says hello and said he and Heather are thinking and praying for Robbie and you and family.

Brad is still in Blackrock and all is well Ryan and Haley are growing and just being kids. That bunch likes to float the black river, strawberry, spring or whatever river they can fine in that neck of the woods. I would never have guessed that Brad would have become a hill country boy but he meet fell in love with a gal, Rita that grew up country.

    Thanks norm

  13. Robbie,
It’s been a long time sinced we’ve been in touch. I recently heard about your accident through the Merck airwaves. My wife Stephanie and I are sending you and your family our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.
As a fellow triathlete and avid cyclist your accident hits home with me that much more.
If you’re willing, I’m sure you’ll back on the saddle in no time.
    God Speed,
    Dave & Stephanie Sandberg

  14. Hey Robbie and Stacey,
I just heard of Robbie’s accident Monday night at CBC Karate. There was a prayer meeting after Karate for your family. My brother, Brandon, played trombone with Robbie in the church band for a while, well until last year. My family is praying for your family and hope all turns out well with Robbie and he makes a speedy recovery. I am glad that you have this blog. May God keep you both strong during this hard time.

  15. I saw your comment on Candy’s blog and clicked your link. I had told my sister-in-law, Stephanie Johnson, to send it to me and she never did. I was in Jonesboro visiting the day of the accident and have kept abreast of Robbie’s miraculous recovery and have prayed for you all along the way. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you but I can tell you haven’ changed a bit…still sweet and beautiful! I’m so glad to read about his progress. How fortunate he is to have you by his side!

We are living in Roanoke, VA and have 3 girls who are 1, 4 and 6. Your family is beautiful…your daughter is a chip off the block!

    Love in Christ,
    April

  16. Robbie, your Mom told me about your accident a few weeks ago. I work in the CBA industry and have done so for many years. I remember when you all lost precious Abbey. I prayed for you all then. A few months after you lost her, my husband and I were blessed with a little girl; and I was so thankful that she was healthy. I thought and prayed for you all often. I am now praying for you to get well soon. I know that the Lord not only wants you well; but He will heal you. I also know that He will supply all your needs. I will pray for you all to have favor with all those who have been treating you during this time. I pray that they will accept what the insurance pays and let the rest go. I pray that you can soon get back to work. I know it has to be difficult for you to stay at home when you are used to working every day. As you lie there and rest, think on the good things of the Lord. He will teach you things that you hadn’t even thought about previous to the accident. By the way, Tronnia also told me you guys are homeschooling your children. I think that is so great. My husband and I are homeschooling our daughter. She is almost 10 now and loves learning at home. We even offered to send her to public school this year; and she said ‘NO”!!.

I pray that God richly blesses you all and heals you quickly.

  17. Hey Robbie and Stacey! We are continuing to keep up with your progress and noticed today your posting of Kristin Getty. We had the priviledge through music friends in Tennessee to attend the LifeWay concert premiere of the new Baptist Hymnal in Nashville back in August. Keith and Kristen Getty were part of the concert and several (5 I think) of their new hymns are in the hymnal. “Christ Alone” is one of them! They shared some about how they came to write and said they had an undeniable sense of God’s leading to bring His people back into corporate worship with new hymns that God had given them to write. Keith’s comment was “participation in worship, not performance.” They are both from Ireland and many of the hymn texts are from hymns they learned as children and young adults in the churches of their home country. Original and fresh, yes, but grounded in truth. It was an awesome experience and we are praying for churches here to catch the vision that God has given Keith Getty and to bring His people back to worship in Spirit and in truth.

Sorry for the deep, but Stacey I know you run that way anyway and believe me I am a kindred soul. Please let us know if we can help in any way. I’m recovering from my second spinal fusion in two years (3rd back surgery in 4 years) but I’ll send Rob 🙂 so Robbie can talk shop! I have six, 4-inch screws now so maybe we can race when you’re better. How about airport security? We’ll see who sets it off first!!

Take care and no more circus stunts. You are such an encouragement and God is using you in ways that you may never know this side of heaven.

  18. Hey,
I say your interview on KAIT last night, and wanted you to know that I am thinking about your family. It seems like a lifetime ago that we worked at OBGYN together. You know Dr. Fields and I still keep in touch, and Dr. Lunde comes to see me on a regular basis at the hospital in Walnut Ridge with his new career! Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. Kim

  19. Stacey,
You may not remember me, but I used to work with Robbie, JR and Tronnia at the Storehouse. I just heard about the accident and my heart goes out to you all. My husband and I will be praying for you all!

  20. Stacey,

Wow, where has the time gone? What a BEAUTIFUL family you have. I know you must be so very proud. What a BEAUTIFUL woman of God you are Stacey! I am so glad to see that Robbie is doing so well. God is so good and faithful. I am thankful for the wonderful memories we have shared. You will always be so very dear to my heart!

May God’s blessings continue to be upon you & your familiy’s lives.

    I love you Stacey!

    Shana
