We had a great visit in Memphis yesterday with our orthopedic surgeon.  His exact words were that Robbie had “healed like gangbusters” and gave him the green light to start actually walking on both legs!  He was also given permission to start driving again.  He drove home from Memphis after seeing the doctor.

He was also driving tonight on the way home from Nate’s basketball game.  We were in a little town called Grubbs and a HUGE deer darted out into the road.  Yep, we hit it.  We tried to swerve because there was a car behind us and slamming on the brakes would’ve sent them right into us.  The deer kept coming across, so we couldn’t miss him.  It did significant damage to our van – busted the cover of the headlight, mangled the front bumper, bent the hood, and knocked off the hub cap on the driver’s side tire.  It could have been so much worse, though.  We are so thankful that we didn’t hit it head on.

We are still facing decisions regarding Robbie’s job – thank you for continuing in your prayers and continuing to care how we are doing.  It means so much.

  7. Wow. Hair still in the broken glass. Now THAT is what I call “deer in the headlights.”

I’m amazed at your progression, Mr. Johnson. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.

Let me know if there is anything we can do.

  8. Stacey,
Have followed Robbie’s recovery from the beginning, thanks for sharing the ups and downs. I have so enjoyed the music and so meaningful today. It’s not about me it’s all about Him, how often we forget.
    Thanks again.
