Betsy is not feeling well today. Nothing major, just fever and overall yuckies. No gymnastics today, though. She is on her bed watching Barbie DVDs now and resting.
Robbie is also hanging in there. He’s trying not to think too much about being home all the time except for doctor visits and the occasional outing. It’s a challenge for him not to go a little stir-crazy. We return to Memphis on Sept. 30th for a visit to the orthopedic doctor. We’re not expecting any major news, just an x-ray to check the healing and an exam by the doctor. Even though November 13 seems far away (the first date he gets to put any weight on the right leg), we think about how far we’ve come and think we can do it. One day at a time is all we can do – and it is all God gives us, anyway.
On another note, please pray for a man named Jerry Anderson (www.jerryanderson.blogspot.com). He is the husband of a friend from here and is undergoing cancer treatment where they live in California. The cancer was discovered out of the blue and the family has been on a roller coaster. Please ask God to heal his body and give much grace & strength to his wife, Candy, his kids and other family members. Thank you.
