I just talked to Robbie on the phone.  They are giving him 1 unit of blood and taking him in to the o.r.  He is in good spirits.  PLEASE PRAY!!  Pray for him to be able to come off the vent right after surgery.  Pray for the wound to be clean and infection free.  I am praying that the doctors will be impressed with the progress of the healing already.  My dad and I are leaving town now and should get there by the time he’s out.

  1. Stacey,

Even though I’ve talked to you on the phone, I might not have said this and I wanted you to know that we have been praying constantly. Every time you come across my mind, which is a lot, I just pray right then. The whole family is praying for you and Robbie and the kids for strength and healing and protection and so many other things.

Our great and Sovereign God is in control. There is no one else in heaven or earth that we should want in control of this circumstance but Him. And even through the pain, He is working this for our good. In the many painful things in our lives, I have to hold on to this Truth because in my mind these things just don’t make sense. But they make sense to Him. And He will give you the grace you need moment by moment. Hold to His Truths, and hold to His love…His great Love that He has for His dear children. You and Robbie are HIS dear children and I know He has not promised us as children a life of without pain, but He has promised that He will be with us in the storm and how awesome to know that the hand that controls the world is the same hand that will comfort each of you during this long and difficult journey. It is through these times (as you know) that you will see Him at work personally in your family! How sweet are the moments when we can say, God did that for us, just for us, just for me. I believe that He knows you all are faithful and that His glory will be known greatly in this storm.

I pray that He comforts you today in new and awesome ways.
We love you and wish that we could there in person to help. But you have a friend who is far better than Rob and me with you always.

    Soli Deo Gloria,
    Melissa, Rob, Grace and Sam

  2. Heavenly Father…
We acknowledge you as the great Physician. We thank you for what you’ve done with Robbie’s healing thus far and ask that You continue the good work you’ve begun.

In the Strong Name of Jesus,
    Amen.

  3. Stacey,
I know that you don’t know me but I found out about Robbie from Cissy. I’ve know Robbie since high school, we went to Central together. I was going to come and see him today but I called the Med and they don’t have him in the system. I asked for Robbie and Robert is it under a different name? I wanted you to know that I’ve been praying for his recovery!!! I would like to visit if it’s o.k. maybe tomorrow after church. If he can’t have vistors I understand. Please email me or call me at 901-373-7459 or cookiestacey@juno.com.
    Thanks,
    Stacey Janda

  5. Still thinking of you and praying. I hope you got everywhere safely through all of the storms in Jonesboro and Memphis (I was I-40 through the worst of it). Robbie seems to be in such great hands besides the best hands he is in (God’s). I am glad to hear of such progress.
Again, if you need anything, I am here.

    In His love,

    Meagan 🙂

  6. Stacey – Just wanted you to know your family is in our prayers! We hope you get to come home soon! Joe was one who purchased a bike reflector that day…but I’d like to urge them all to take up swimming now!!
    Our thoughts are with you!!

  7. Stacie & family,

You are in our constant thoughts & prayers. We have been praying for you since the morning of the accident.

    Your faith is inspiring!

Love & prayers, Marty & Kelly

  8. Stacey,

I have just been going back over and over again to how God knew the timing for homeschooling. In the midst of all this you don’t have to worry about school starting Monday. It seems trivial perhaps, but I know how much your children mean to both of you and just knowing that they don’t have to deal with extra pressure right now is a comfort to those of us praying for you guys.

Thanks for taking time to keep us informed about you guys and know that there are people all around the world praying for your family.

    Marina and James

  9. Stacey,
Every day, many times a day Robbie, you and your sweet children are lifted up to God Almighty. May you be comforted to know that all of you are loved by so many. We will specifically pray for all of your prayer requests until they are answered…May God’s grace surround you at this hour. Big Hugs…stay strong and I am so glad you got to spend the day with your “honey!” I know that is just what our “Great Physician” ordered!
    Love,
    Stacey Orr

  10. We are still thinking about you guys and praying for you all daily. We are so thankful that Robbie is doing as well as he is and know that God is carrying you all right now. Love you.

  11. We are praying for a speedy recovery for Robbie! We are thinking of your family daily and know that God is with you. Let us know what we can do for you!

  12. We anxiously await any updates each day. How thankful we are that Robbie is making such progress. I can’t believe how good he looks in the picture. And you look as fresh and young as ever! Glad to hear you are taking care of yourself too. We’re praying over each and every request. Please let us know if we can do anything at all to help- with the house, laundry or the kids, etc. We’re a phonecall or email away-anytime. Take care of your sweetie. You are in our prayers. Love, the Dacus family

  13. Sweet Stacey,

Just wanted you to know that we love you and are praying along with a host of other family members and friends. You and Robbie are such precious people and your kids are a sweet reflection of you both. We got to enjoy Nate and Stephen today for an afternoon of swimming and lots of laughs! Nate kept Macee in stitches with his wonderful humor and many “voices” of characters I wasn’t familiar with. Ha! We were honored to get to love on your kids today and will do whatever we can to help you wonderful people! Please know that we are encouraged in our faith as we see the hand of God move in such a wonderful way in Robbie’s body and in the wonderful way you translate with words the Love of Christ!

    Love,
    Tammy Fivecoat
