A quick update before I go to the hospital:  Rob had a good night.  They were not able to clean his wound because a trauma came in and they needed the o.r.  They plan to do that today.  His blood pressure is stable and they were finally able to give him some ice chips – he has been so thirsty!!  Keep praying for him to gain strentgh for the road ahead.  We love you!

  11. Stacey,

We were so upset when we heard the news. I thought, “No, Lord. Not Robbie.”

So, we pray: “Lord, we need Robbie. Please take care of him. He loves You. He loves his family. You are his protector and provider. Heal him for Your sake and for ours.”

We’re thinking and praying for you, Stacey. You’ve been here before. You know the power of God’s grace. He is able.

Please give a message to Robbie for me: I know gas prices are terrible, but, come on. Let’s find other ways to save money.

  18. Stacey,

Like everyone else, I just want you and your precious family to know that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. What a testimony of God’s grace and love your family has been over the years! When I heard about Robbie’s accident, I just couldn’t believe that something else so terrible could be happening to your sweet family. But God is in control and in his mighty power and wisdom, He will have victory through this horrible situation. Our prayers are being constantly spoken for Robbie’s healing, the Doctor’s wisdom, and a special peace upon you, JR, Tronna, your parents and your kids. Tell Robbie that Mike says our office was in mourning yesterday when they heard about his accident. That just goes to show how much he is loved and thought of in this community.

We love you and your family.

    Mike and Rosamond Crawley

  19. Stacey,

  23. Wow! Robbie….hang in there partner. This whole incident has been unbelievable. I’m praying for you and your family. Give me a call (530-1413) if there’s anything I can do or if you need something brought over. Stacey….don’t hesitate to call Nanc. She loves to make me do stuff.

Dustan, Amy, Luke, Ben, Emy and Eli

  25. Stacey and Robbie, I think Dana has sent you a message already. She is much better at words than I am. I just wanted you to know that I and our family have been praying for you. We promise to keep praying continually. I was so upset to hear about the accident yesterday. In fact as I was walking into hospital yesterday am, I was hoping Robbie was in the hallway for a chat! We plan to come visit soon.
    Kevin Rouse

  26. Stacey,
Heard about Robbie yesterday while driving down the interstate with my kids…Logan and Maggie said “you mean music teacher Mrs. Stacey? Bestsy’s Daddy? I said yes, he is hurt very seriously and we need to pray.” They closed their eyes so tightly and clasped their hands in the tightest grip I have ever seen and we began to pray…and pray…and pray…found out later that many, many prayers from so many people had been answered. How scary I can only imagine yesterday was for you especially after loosing Abbey. God is with Robbie and your entire family and I pray you will constantly feel His peace all around you. Please know our prayers for his recovery will not stop till Robbie is at home enjoying you and the children like he was before this terrible accident.
    Much love and BIG hugs,
Stacey, Kevin, Logan, Maggie and Hadley Orr

  27. Ms. Stacey,

  28. Hi Stacey-
I am one of Robbie’s J’boro classmates-we graduated together. Just wanted you to know that I have been & will continue to lift you all in prayer. Keep your positive attitude!
    Jill (Taylor) Poston

  29. Stacey,

I am constantly praying for you, Robbie and the kids. God is faithful and will be Robbie’s healer.
“God, heal Robbie’s body entirely and quickly. Let this tragedy not stop him from the work he does for you. Grow his faith and love for you everyday and use him to touch the lives of many to come.”
We love you Stacey! Will be praying until the end.

    Courtney McKeown

  30. Stacey,
My family have continuously prayed for Robbie and your entire family since yesterday morning. I’ve tried to send emails to the members of our class to keep them updated. You have many volunteers for anything you could possibly need, so you let us know when something comes up. Dylan called and checked on Nate yesterday, he is welcome in our home anytime. Words cannot even express how sick I was when I found out about the accident yesterday morning, but I know that God has a plan in all of this and I pray that you will find comfort in that. Tell Robbie that we are praying for him, to hang in there, Brad understands the helplessness of an ICU bed! Let us know if there is anything we can do. We will try to come visit soon and can bring anything you need. We love you guys, Allison

  31. Stacey,
I just wanted you to know that we are praying for Robbie’s speedy recovery. We ask for God’s grace beyond measure to cover both of you during this difficult time. You both mean so much to us. Stacey, you above all have been such a Godly example for me. I know that God will use this tragedy for good somehow, someday. We love you both!!!

  32. We are praying for Robbie’s recovery and for your family to have the strength to support and encourage along the way. I am so thankful to hear that he is stable. What a scary thing to happen. I will continue to pray and request prayers from others.

  33. Stacey,

know that Robbie and your family have filled our constant and heartfelt prayers since yesterday morning. We truely love you guys and can’t wait for him to get home and start healing.

Tell him I said this is a poor way to get out of eating “bush rat,” but that I’m sure Daryl will save him some for when he’s feeling better.

    Stacy G.

  34. Stacey,

I cannot begin to express what I am feeling for you. However, I know you are one of the most godliest women I have ever known. I can just hear the peace in your message and I think of your sweet calm voice. I am praying for everyone and everything (because you can never go overboard with God I have learned). I was already planning to come to Memphis with Matt on Friday, and I don’t want to bother you with a visit, but if you need ANYTHING and forget to tell someone to bring it to you, don’t hesitate to let me know and I will bring it or do it without question.

    With His love,

  35. I have been praying for Robbie’s healing and strength for you and your family all throughout the day yesterday and this morning and I will continue to lift you up to our Heavenly Father. Joe is in prayer for you as well. We love you guys.

    Joe and Brandi Carter

  36. Like so many others have said, you are in our prayers. As you have helped prepare other teams to go, I could see that Robbie was preparing himself physically for THE TASK ahead.

As I was reading Tuesday morning in “My Utmost for His Highest”, I was reminded of how much I dislike waves, or anything that disrupts my life, yet the text reminds me “Why are you fearful…?”. A few minutes later, Mike tells me of Robbie’s injuries.

Chambers goes on to say: “There are times when there is no storm or crisis in our lives, and we do all that is humanly possible. But it is when a crisis arises that we instantly reveal upon whom we rely. If we have been learning to worship God and to place our trust in Him, the crisis will reveal that we can go to the point of breaking, yet without breaking our confidence in Him.”

Today it adds: “If you go on through thr crisis, your life will become a hymn of praise to God.”

But don’t we wish we could select the words?

Thank you for the update on Robbie. Be encouraged today, God still has plans for you both.

    Remain in His grip.
    – Nancy B

  37. We are praying for your family daily. I will continue to pray for Robbie’s healing as well as peace for you and the children during the days ahead.

    In His Love,

    Isiah 41:10
