From Robbie:
We went to see my orthopedic surgeon today in Memphis. I was ready for him to take x-rays and give me an idea of how my hip was healing. I wasn’t expecting him to tell me I was ready to walk, but I did want to know how I was doing. After the x-rays, [...]

Ouch!!!!
Posted in Uncategorized on September 29, 2008 | 1 Comment »
Not in any way to compare this to Robbie’s injury or the recent episode with Nate, but tonight I really hurt my finger. I shut it in the car door after I had locked it. I then had to reach across my body to get the key out of my pocket so that I could unlock the door. [...]

I have a tendency to let my thoughts go kind of deep – those who know me well know that. I don’t really mean to, it just sort of happens. Thus, the English degree, I guess.
When we finished our laundry room, I wanted to have a verse or saying on the wall. The verse that [...]
Breakfast for Betsy
Posted in Uncategorized on September 24, 2008 | 1 Comment »
I had to take Betsy to sick call this morning. She still had fever and we wanted to make sure she didn’t have strep throat or anything – especially since we don’t need Daddy getting it. She cultured negative for strep, so we are just treating the fever and letting it run its course. She’s [...]
Pray for Betsy-Boo

Betsy is not feeling well today. Nothing major, just fever and overall yuckies. No gymnastics today, though. She is on her bed watching Barbie DVDs now and resting.
Robbie is also hanging in there. He’s trying not to think too much about being home all the time except for doctor visits and the occasional outing. It’s [...]
Tailgating

We are doing some at-home tailgating today while watching college football. Thanks to our friend, Joe Hafner, for the delicious barbecue! Today is homecoming at our alma mater ASU, so we’ll be tuning in on the radio.
Robbie is doing well today just resting and watching football. I changed the dressing on his wound this morning, [...]
Buh-Bye Wound Vac!
Posted in Uncategorized on September 18, 2008 | 5 Comments »
We went to the wound doctor today and Robbie got the wound vac removed! Now we don’t have to deal with the tubing, machinery, and changes with that. We will change the dressing every other day until the wound is completely healed. The wound is healing really well and looking good, so this was exciting [...]
Nate’s Doing Better
Posted in Uncategorized on September 16, 2008 | 5 Comments »
Nate is doing better today. He rested all day and that has helped. He still has a slight headache which the doctor told us to expect. Thanks for praying for us. He has told me over & over today how sorry he is and asked me to forgive him. I have been ok today, just [...]
Back in the ER Tonight
Posted in Uncategorized on September 16, 2008 | 11 Comments »
Well, I was back in the emergency room tonight (the 15th)…with Nate. And, it was the result of a bike wreck. He was riding his bike down our driveway and hit loose gravel. He ended up in the middle of our street, which can be quite busy, looking dazed and confused and asking me what [...]
One Month Ago Today…
Posted in Uncategorized on September 12, 2008 | 6 Comments »
One month ago today on Tuesday, August 12, we began this journey on which we now travel. At 6:00 in the morning, I got a phone call that Robbie & Stuart had been hit by a truck and they were headed to the ER. As we have chronicled here on the blog, it has been [...]
